Pape Foundation

Since 1944 Harold R. Pape and his wife Suzanne Lou Pape started different efforts to benefit the community in Monclova, Coahuila:

  • Construction of elementary, junior high and high schools
  • Campo San Antonio Children´s Hospital
  • Several sports facilities
  • School of Engineering
  • Scholarships for students
  • Support to care institutions

Thus in 1963 Campo San Antonio Foundation Pape Foundation A.C. is created with the purpose of serving the community in the areas of culture, education, sports and the promotion of human values.

The Foundation carries out its activities through the following organizations:

Pape Library Museum, A.C.

  • PAPE MUSEUM offers several free activities for families, such as expositions and shops for children, receiving every year more than 100 thousand visitors.

  • HAROLD R. PAPE LIBRARY promotes reading through many projects such as a Fair Book and Book Presentations. It offers several services like archives, Braille books, internet area, children´s area, movie club, among others.

Xochipilli Park, A.C.

  • Xochipilli Park has gardens, lakes, archeological prehispanic replicas, auditorium, playground and sports installations in an extension of 48 hectares, where more than one million 500 thousand visitors from the region are received at no cost during the year.
